This past weekend was pretty low key for us. Bryan started feeling a little better Friday afternoon, so we headed off to Manhattan to find the art museum. We took the train into NY and transferred trains to take us to Central Park. We actually found the museum without getting lost! The museum is huge! We spent time in the ancient Egyptian, middle age Armor, and Early Native exhibits. After several hours of looking around, we decided to call it a day. On our way back to the train, we stopped in Central Park for a quick visit.
Then we went to the X-change, which is a worship service at New City for the youth. They have one a month and this months service was the annual "youth service" where the kids were in charge of everything from leading worship to planning out the themes and messages. This service was very different from a typical worship service. There were several raps, a grunge band, games, video clips and a few short talks. Overall, it was an enjoyable service; the teens were very excited to be there.
Saturday and Sunday did not consist of much outdoor activity. It thunder stormed both days, so we spent a majority of the time just relaxing around the house. We went for pizza Saturday evening at an awesome pizza shop. The pizza was so large we have been eating for every meal ever since (and we still have some left!) We also visited our new found ice cream shop again and taste tested the avocado ice cream. We we very surprised at how good it tasted! We also had the pineapple coconut and blackberry ice creams. We have yet to find a flavor there that we don't like.
That about sums up our weekend. So, here are a few prayer requests:
1. Thanks that Bryan is feeling better
2. Pray that we will be able to share the gospel with the teens we meet this week.
3. Pray that we will have a safe camping trip Tuesday-Wednesday (the kids are afraid)

Glad to hear that Bryan's feeling a bit better. Do you have plans for the 4th? We're all thinking and praying for you both. Luff, The Wiegers
