Changes

Wow! Time sure does fly by. I can't imagine how fast it will go when the little one gets here. Anyway, here is a much needed update on life out in Iowa.

We had a wonderful Christmas season with both of our families coming out to visit. It was great to see them all again! It had been way too long (since we moved out here in July). Steph's mom and sisters came out for the week of Christmas and Bryan's parents, sister, and Joshua came out for a few days over New Years. We had quite the winter weather to welcome them! A large snow storm kept us home bound over Christmas (Christmas Day service was canceled) and extremely low wind chills (-30 to -40s) kept us close to home over New Years. However, despite the weather (and the problems it caused with the diesel truck) we all had a great time and everyone made it home safely again.

A few days after Bryan's family had left, we had an interview with the congregation here at First CRC. They voted on extending us a call the following Sunday, and we received a letter of call from them! Now we are prayerfully considering where God wants us to be. We will let you know what we decide in the next couple weeks.

As for the little one, everything seems to be going well. Steph is getting ready for him to be here (she is getting more uncomfortable), and we are hoping maybe he will come a little early. (Probably just wishful thinking!) In the mean time, we are attending child birth classes, packing the hospital bag, picking up last minute items, and trying to get the baby room ready. We pulled the wallpaper down and the church sent someone over to seal the wall so we can start to paint. Last weekend we picked out our paint colors, and the painter was here today getting the wall ready to go. Hopefully it will be painted in the next week or so and we can put the rest of it together!

Well, I think that is about all for now. I can't believe it has been so long since we last posted. Here are several more belly pics (and hopefully they will be some of the last!) Enjoy!
